Airport lounges
Gatwick advertises lounge access from just £25, though walk-in prices for the named lounges tend to run higher. No1 Lounge and My Lounge are priced from around £34 to £38 for a walk-in visit, and Clubrooms starts from about £44 for an adults-only lounge with table service, where Fast Track security is included in the price. Connect to the network named "Free Gatwick Wi-Fi Vinci Airports", choose "Free Superfast Wi-Fi" and enter an email address; there is no stated time limit. A faster 100Mbps Premium tier costs £5 for 24 hours, or is free if you have a myGatwick account. Free charging points are available before and after security in both terminals, and many restaurants also have power or USB points at the tables.
Food, drink and shopping
Both terminals have extensive airside dining and retail, including World Duty Free and a mix of high-street and boutique brands. The airport's own interactive maps, available online, on the app and at touchscreen kiosks in the terminals, let you browse what is where in each terminal before you fly.
Left luggage and lockers
Left luggage is operated by the Excess Baggage Company and is available in both terminals, open 04:00 to 22:00. In the North Terminal it is on Level 1, before security, next to Costa Coffee. In the South Terminal it is on Level 2, before security, behind check-in zone E. Prices per item are £10 for up to 3 hours, £15 for up to 24 hours, £27.50 for up to 48 hours and £40 for up to 72 hours, then £12.50 a day, dropping to £10 a day after 7 days.

Book assisted travel (PRM) through your airline or travel agent, and Gatwick recommends doing this at least 48 hours before you fly, booking for your worst day if your condition varies. Meeting points are at the drop-off receptions, Help Points, check-in, the security reception and the departure lounge. Both terminals support the Sunflower lanyard scheme for hidden disabilities, offer Changing Places accessible toilets, and welcome assistance dogs throughout. T-loop hearing systems operate in certain areas, alongside services for visually impaired passengers.

Security fast-track and how early to arrive
Fast Track security costs from £6 per person, and a separate Fast Track passport control lane for arrivals costs £15 per person. Since March 2026, Gatwick has scrapped the old 100ml liquids limit: you can carry containers up to 2 litres, you no longer need a clear plastic bag, and electronics and liquids can usually stay in your bag thanks to the newer CT scanners, with the exception of empty vacuum flasks, which should be emptied because their insulation blocks the scanner's imaging.
Standard guidance is to arrive around 2 hours before a short-haul flight and 3 hours before a long-haul flight, adding 30 minutes at busy times. Security waits average around 7 minutes but can reach 30 to 45 minutes at peak times, typically 05:00 to 08:00 and 16:00 to 19:00.
